Fall is in the air

Something I have really been looking forward to since having a child is the holiday season. And to me, that starts today, October 1! We haven't been having to much fallish weather but on a walk at the lake, Easton and I stumbled across the perfect tree, with leaves the most perfect shade of autumn yellow! So what did we do? ( Well, what did I do?) Take some fall pictures of my boy! He loved the leaves and tried to eat whichever ones he could get his hands on! And at the end of the day, it was time to try out some Halloween themed pajamas!

8 months

8 months old tomorrow! Easton is growing and changing before our eyes!

  • Now has 3 teeth! The bottom two and...and upper eye tooth ( FANG!) While I think he is a tough cookie, he still is not dealing well with teething! Must really hurt, poor little guy! By my next months post, I am predicting 3 more teeth in there!)
  • started into 12 month clothes but can still get away with 9 month clothes.
  • very vocal - cooing, laughing, babbling - especially when eating
  • Loves spending time in the bathtub, and took your first big drink of the water (causing Mommy to have heart attack and you to choke!)
  • still sleeping through the night, but now there is a lot of rolling over and switching sides while sleeping
  • still loves to eat but I think is figuring out that veggies are not as yummy as fruit. The same silly happiness is not present when eating things like peas (your old favorite) and mixed veggies!
  • started eating Cheerios- LOVE!!  You also like to try some more tiny finger foods - watermelon, avocado pieces, banana, etc...
  • loves to sit up and play or play in his bouncy seat. No crawling - and we are thinking no desire to do so yet! (although I have noticed whatever I mention what he is not doing in these posts, he usually proves me wrong within the next couple days)
  • Mommy has decided to stay home  with little man (for the most part) and you love being on a schedule
  • You want to grab EVERYTHING in your reach! Things off shelves at the store, phones, food, dogs...nothing is safe!

8 month photo shoot with Mom! ( and her new chalkboard bunting! Yay!!!!)

So many expressions!!!!!!!

"How can I get that off the wall....."

Extras of little man

New toy, time to get you moving!! ( Disclaimer - your pediatrician keeps telling Mommy babies should not use these... Well, Mommy is not listening :)  )

7 months

Well Mr. Easton, you are officially closer in age to a YEAR than just being born. 7 months seems to suit you better than 6 months. Some of the crankiness of teething is going away because...you cut your first tooth through the gums! So exciting! Also, you can sit up better now and there is less toppling over :) No height and weight for you this month but Daddy and I are sure you up at 18lbs and inching your way up past 28 inches. You have eaten your first pieces of food not blended ( very tiny pieces of watermelon and a noodle from our supper!). You still love almost all foods but your favorites are avocados, peaches, cinnamon apple oatmeal and squash! You started from a Sippy Cup,( only in your high chair), but you still find it easier for Mommy to hold the cup! I have LOVED staying home with you all summer and you and I have a nice routine going!
Love you little man!

Easton was very fascinated by sitting in this chair and distracted by everything around him! So we got funny expression pictures!

Spent the morning seeing the animals at the fair

Photo op: Kisses for baby!

Easton loves Kasey ( Kix too)..... Kasey ignores him for the most part

Lake trip and playtime

This past weekend we got to take a mini vacation to my sisters boyfriends lake house. While the weather was only nice one day, we made the most of our time away!

of course, we packed the gym

Love this!

Why, yes, Easton was boat captain!

First boat ride, hated the life jacket!

Typical play time at our house. Drooling, laughing,  falling over and refusing to sit himself back up! :)
