Strawberry Picking

June - I have been wanting to take Easton strawberry picking for some time now and we finally got a chance. Easton loved picking berries and Drew basically enjoyed stepping on the plants. We got fresh strawberry sundaes afterward so it made for a fun family night! and the strawberries were phenomenal to eat for the next few days :)

And they're off!

He concentrates so hard!

Filling it up - after taking all the unripe ones back out lol

"Brother, where are you??"

Ready to go back next year- or to go pick raspberries in the fall!

Beginning of June

It is the beginning of August now and it has been a long, HOT summer. Like really hot. Fall could come at anytime now...

Some of our favorites in June - Lauren and Sawyer came to visit us and we took Easton to the Denver Zoo (all pics on cell phone). It was also one of his first long road trips (3 hours, just wait until later this summer!) We spent most of June playing with various water - pools, water tables, lake, etc...
Finding some pictures off the camera....

We have also gotten a lot of use out of the stone patio we put in last spring. The boys liked cool treats outside in the evening and we can sit and watch them push their trucks, throw rocks, and ride their four wheelers...

More May

In April, Easton started Biddy soccer at the YMCA. Needless to say, it did not go well. While it was a great introduction for him, Easton was not a fan of all the other people there, even though he loved playing soccer and practiced all week. Saturday morning, he would just sit on the side and watch. Here he is in his jersey and sitting on the divider. Also, 3-4 year old soccer is like herding wet, drunk cats. ;)

A picture of the birthday boy!

Loving this present

Mothers Day weekend. Jennifer and Luke and her new dog Gus came to visit us. Here they are at the zoo.

Love this one- carefree (windy!) Friday night

All I wanted for Mothers Day was pictures with my boys- I cherish these :)

Back Again!

Well. It has been 3 months since I updated the blog and in that time, life has been quickly rolling along. I looked back and re read some of the older blog posts and the blog that I printed out of Easton's first year and realized how much I missed it. Also, thanks for the push Erica ;) Unfortunately I have been shooting more pictures with my cell phone while the DLSR gathers dust. I NEED to take more with the camera! And maybe dust off the books about learning to use it better :)

May

The biggest thing in May - my sweet baby Drew turned 1 on May Day. I tear up just thinking about it! And as per Drew, he spent his first birthday crabby and sick. 2 weeks prior,  he underwent surgery to have tubes put in his ears. They were going to take his adenoids out (which would have been a harder recovery time) but the surgeon decided he wanted to wait since he was so little.  Drew was so stinking cute in his little hospital gown! Unfortunately for him, he got an ear infection a couple days after his follow up appointment that needed antibiotics- again! Fingers crossed, he has been good ever since. Yep, just jinxed myself!

We celebrated Drew's birthday with just a little cupcake and lunch with us and his grandma. No big parties yet. We got him a water table (and he received an assortment of other outdoor toys) that it took a coupe weeks for the weather to cooperate so he could use them!

Drew is my mover! He loves to go, go, go and touch, touch, touch! He smiles and babbles and thinks you know what he is saying! He is at the top for height and weight and very easily passed all the milestones of walking and whatnot. 8 shiny teeth and 18-24 month clothes. Loves being outside, loves the water, Can already master the straw and loves to share my water bottle!Loves to snuggle the dogs and throw toys for them, Loves digging with his shovel.  Favorite books: Brown Bear, Hungry Caterpillar, the Lllama Llama board books, The Amazing Alphabet ABC's by Dr. Suess, to name a few!

His new smile. In other news, Easton is in the terrible threes, it is a thing! But he is still such a good boy that loves to help! Obsessed with pushing trucks and cars around and riding his four wheeler.

They love each other!

Holding a toy from Blaze and the Monster Machines. He is obsessed!

This little boy melts me!

I always want to remember his hair. Its crazy and yet so adorable!

Leaving it here for now, as most of the rest of the pictures are on my cell phone and i need to email them to myself because for some reason ,I cannot blog from my phone! First world problems, I know!
