Well, it is the dead of winter and cabin fever has set in. Big time! Today it hit almost 60 so it was time to get everyone (dogs included) for a walk at the lake! I was reminiscing during our walk that a year ago, we took a three week old Easton for a walk at the lake with the pups when the weather got nice. My, how a lot has changed in a year! Plus, I got a new lens for my camera so I was super excited to test it out!

Other updates: Trying out the new lens at dinner ( yay for working in low lighting!)

Always under the highchair. Always.

Just an ordinary day...

Easton loves playing in our dining room ( hello hardwood floors!) And since that room is one of the two rooms with the best (only) light in my house, I dragged the big camera out to catch a few shots!

The drool, the snot, the lunch left on his hands....just a typical day here!

Kasey usually doesn't Easton get to close! Yet, she likes to kwep an eye on what he is up too!

EASTON IS ONE!

The day has arrived! ( And passed us by!) My little man is now a one year old toddler! Where has the time gone?!?! I can honestly say this has been the quickest year of my life- and the most meaningful!

Easton's 12 month accomplishments!

  • waves bye bye
  • walks behind a walking toy, but not yet on his own
  • weighs in at 22 lbs and 31 1/2 inches tall! ( big change from the 6lb, 19 inch baby i brought home!)
  • drinking some regular milk and hoping to say bye bye to formula when this can is out!
  • wearing 12-18 month clothes
  • 8 teeth
  • loves to scoot around the house with a ball in each hand
  • says Mama regularly and just started dada
  • still loves all food, especially applesauce, string cheese, gold fish crackers (new!), chicken, mandarin oranges (new!), and yogurt
  • shakes head from side to side, but thankfully, does not understand that it means no!
  • However, he know what no-no means, as he may hear it a lot a little
  • loves crawling over the dogs!

Things we have done in the past year we never saw ourselves doing!
  • wiping noses on the sleeve of our shirts
  • sniffing dirty bottoms wherever we happen to be
  • having our house look like an explosion of toy r us
  • cleaning binky's in our mouths
  • watching Jake and Neverland Pirates and various other cartoons, while Easton is not!
  • testing all spoonfuls of baby food to make sure they are not too hot
  •  ....and I am sure the list could go on....

Looking forward to what the next couple months bring us!

Celebrating at home with just mom and dad!
